Moving Toward (design)

I was playing around with Photoshop, learning some skills, and came up with this.
It seems like a very fitting theme for today, as I’m going to look at a motorcycle, and I’m doing some intense therapy / healing.
This print, various other items, and a throw pillow, are all available at my Redbubble Shop.

And a throw pillow that looks like it belongs in a therapist’s office.

Daily Sketch – Day 26

Daily Sketch – Day 26

I got some time and some energy to draw today. I felt like focusing on getting back to building skills with a portrait. This sweet picture, named “Rosemary” gave me a ton of confidence. I was very loose and open during the experience of drawing. To enable right-brain thinking, I put a song on repeat, which helped me focus. I played with the lines in the hair, and used a recently-released brush from Sketchbook Pro intended as a leaf pattern to make some cool freckles!

Summer Succulent Cascade – digital art

Summer Succulent Cascade – digital art

Succulent 'Ribbon' - Colored

ABOUT THIS PICTURE

Digital art. Taken from a reference photo I took of six succulents gathered-together in a landscaped space. I liked the cascading shape. This was a quick half hour exercise, mostly learning about synthetic paint in my painting program, Sketchbook Pro. I worked at keeping the colors warm and free, but yet still true to the color scale of a believable succulent-color palette.
